Can you make your mind an impenetrable fortress? Maybe not in the beginning, but certainly after some time… The trick is to keep feeding yourself positive propaganda… Why just allow somebody else to brainwash you? Brainwash yourself! At least you know it’s in your own best interest.
Unfortunately, we do brainwash ourselves on a regular basis. Instead of telling ourselves that we are invincible, we do the opposite. We tell ourselves that we cannot do something, that is beyond us, and we allow learned helplessness and mental fragility to take control.
Just because you quit drinking, day one is not going to be full of strength and courage. It won’t be full of persistence and patience. But you should have enough to get you through. These are mental muscles which will build and strengthen, the more you expand the time between quitting drinking and achieving your goals. Keep going, onwards and upwards!
Until next time…
Onwards and Upwards!
DUDE!!!…those birds are making me turn you off. You have been part of my morning ritual for over 3 months now and I can’t handle those background chatterings…I want to know what you say so I read the transcript, however I would love you to walk in more scenic vistas with less background shrill.
Thank you for your advice thus far…you are really spot on with my way of thinking!
