One of the simplest, and yet seemingly most complicated, problems that people face when they quit drinking is what to say to people who challenge the fact that they are not drinking. How do you approach this?
For a start, it depends on who is doing the asking.
For me, biggest control over this whole process is how you direct your own attention and how you direct other people’s attention.
You have the best chance of success in quitting drinking alcohol if you focus your attention away from alcohol, towards thing or set of things that you want to achieve in your life after booze.
You have the best chance of success of avoiding or deflecting other people’s attention away from the fact that you were quitting drinking alcohol if you focus their attention away from the alcohol.
