The gap from where you are to where you want to be is about the difference between the skills you have and the skills you need to learn in order to get you where you want to go.

Quitting booze is really not a magic bullet. It’s not a cure all that will fix the problems in your life. It’s a great start. It’s an essential start. But there’s also a lot of hard work involved.

The beauty is that once you get alcohol out of your life, it becomes a lot easier to achieve the things that you want to achieve.
