I Drink and Smoke Because Life is Too Short

by | Stop Drinking Alcohol | 7 comments

People are blind to reality and only see what they want to see

I Smoke And Drink Because Life Is Too Short. How many people have you heard uttering this utter nonsense or something like it. They eat four cheese pizza because life is short. Well yeah! If you drink and smoke and eat four cheese pizza, your life is going to be bloody short! Doesn’t take a genius to work that one out.

No matter how far we have travelled down the wrong road, we can always turn around

Until next time…
Onwards and Upwards!

    Hi Kevin,

My dad died of Emphycema at 56 years old after smoking his whole life, he also spent his last few years in a wheelchair after being diagnosed with Cerebellar Ataxia, which is a degenerative brain disorder that causes the sufferer to slowly lose control of their motor functions. The doctors say this was probably brought on by years of alcohol abuse. My Grandfather before him lost the use of his right side to a stroke after years of a 60 to 100 a day smoking habit, and then eventually had his legs amputated below the knees due to blood circulation problems, he was also apparently a heavy drinker (I never met him).He died in his 50s. I am almost 33, and today have now been alcohol and cigarette free for 3 weeks. After drinking nearly everyday for years, this is already a big achievment for me, and only the beginning! I’m breaking the cycle, and am not going to end my life like my dad and grandfather. I know I am never going to drink or smoke again. Your videos and book “Alcohol Freedom” have been, and continue to be, a massive source of help and inspiration to me.Thanks Kevin, please keep doing what you’re doing!

    All the best

    Cheers Kevin,

Not a problem. I know its a cliche, but people really do think it’ll never happen to them. Actually, what about a video on the psychology of the “it’ll never happen to me” mentality?

    Thanks again

    All the best
