When you first stop drinking alcohol, you have to understand that stopping drinking alcohol is not the goal.
It’s just the beginning is the starting point that you have to make this creates the foundation for you to stop drinking. Everything else comes after that. Everything else that comes after you stop in the flow of alcohol is about changing your life so that you never want to go back. So the first thing when you’re preparing yourself and you should have a good preparation stage, is to ask yourself, “How is what I’m doing now gonna make my life easier once I do stop drinking alcohol?”, because there’s going to be some discomfort and you have to think about things. From that perspective, think about. Think about it from the perspective of your mind. First, how are you going to prepare your mind to the best of your ability so that you can make it easier? You can make it easier for yourself not only to to move forward, you know what you’re going to do and when you’re going to do it, but also that you make it easy on yourself in the framing of your discomfort. So that you’re looking at your discomfort from a different perspective, a different attitude, I suppose. And then you need to prepare the people around you, and the environment around you. Like I said, any step that you can make in getting the preparation stage under the belt before you actually stop is going to count hugely towards your success.
