Hey their well I have a question.i have not stoped completely but I have cut way back.i want to cut it out all together.but after about a week I feel the need for just a little.so I have decided to try and cut it all with water little buy little untile my body just doesn’t no the difrents.and replace it with some Green tea.that way it would replace that hole I have at nights.mostly during the week ends.i have stoped during the week.for good.but it like I’m slowing down and I am stoping like when I started.little by little.
So what do you think.as far as triggers mine are just nights alone late at home.i never go out to any bars or anything.

One of the best ways of overcoming this type of trigger is to do something completely different. Don’t sit in the same room, don’t do the same things. Change your routine. Another is to remove all the alcohol and alcohol stuff from your house. If it’s not there, you can’t drink it. Remember that it’s your decision, every sip you take.

I think when someone is suggesting you attend AA, it is their way of telling you that your drinking is having a negative impact on their life and that from their perspective, that your drinking is having a negative impact on your life also.

When an employer suggests you attend AA, he is telling you that your drinking is affecting your job performance and that you need to get a handle on your drinking or he is going to let you go. From the employers perspective, he probably doesn’t care if you really attend AA or not. All he wants is that you control or end your drinking so you are not screwing up at work and making his life more difficult, impacting the productivity of the other employees and ultimately his bottom line.

I have a friend who keeps asking, when I told her that I do an online program, that wasn’t good enough.
AA doesn’t help me as my main problem is depression & I leave the meetings really depressed, i.e. people lost their car, home, dog, etc. & have no money. I couldn’t relate.
Kevin, you address the root causes which I very much can relate to. Your program helps a lot. Thanks! Julie
